With over 10 years in the volleyball space, I have worn many hats: former Division 1 men’s volleyball athlete, collegiate women’s volleyball assistant coach, and local girls' club volleyball coach. Throughout my journey, I’ve noticed a significant gap in the men’s volleyball apparel market — specifically, the lack of options for athletes who prefer a more understated, simple aesthetic over the loud, flashy designs typically seen in the space. Outside of a few niche brands, few cater to this quieter group of athletes who may not always seek the spotlight but who play an essential role in their teams’ success.
FLOATWEAR was born from this gap. Our goal is to create a brand that resonates with the more subtle or introverted players — those who thrive in their role without needing the attention. Inspired by the float serve in volleyball, FLOATWEAR reflects the unpredictability and challenge of the game, where success comes through consistent effort and repetition. Just like the float serve, life can be unpredictable, but with practice, it becomes easier.
Additionally, our brand draws inspiration from the water.
